Scott Alexander 1975 – 2018Our friend Scott Alexander, proprietor of Manchester bars, 'Big Hands' and 'The Temple', lead singer of Indigo Jones and joint founder of Skinny Dog Records has sadly and suddenly died due to complications with his treatment for cancer. His sole intention in running his bars and the label was to provide a place for music and art to grow and somewhere for his friends to gather and laugh; all of which which made him happier than anything. Originally from Melbourne, he made Manchester his home in the nineties and then he proudly held its rock 'n' roll torch aloft making 'Big Hands' all that twenty years of touring bands playing next door at The Academy saw of Manchester. He kept the city's reputation for being welcoming, diverse and not afraid of a party alive and well.
Manchester and Rock ‘n’ Roll have lost a legend.
We’ve lost our crazy, gentle, hilarious mate. All of our love to his beautiful family. Love you Scotty x
